On the street, the sky above the tall buildings split them like a gray wedge. These are the colors of my experience. (Selected to hang in the Blue Ridge Arts Center's 2026 juried show)

I imagined swirling waters--deep and mysterious, reflecting the clouds in layers of green and blue, with lively pops of red mirrored on the surface.
